Political Quiz: Eclectic Extremism January 5, 2007

I scored (28) more conservatively than Glenn Reynolds (21) and Andrew Sullivan (26).  It’s on a scale of 0 (Liberal) to 40 (Conservative).  Honestly, some of the questions were completely loaded, or didn’t deserve an either/or answer.  For example:

2. Which do you trust more:

The Pentagon or
The U.S. Postal Service?

7. Who was a better president?
Ronald Reagan
Franklin D. Roosevelt

25. Certain environmental problems call for government action, even if it means new programs or increased taxes.

Agree  Disagree

That last one, in particular, is a hard one to answer.  In theory, I suppose there might be something where government action might actually be able to make a difference, but we’re a looooong way from theory as far as our government goes.  There ain’t nothin’ that the Feds can’t find a way to completely bungle.

Anyway.  Interesting quiz.  I like Glenn’s response:  “I prefer to think of myself as extremist, but in an eclectic fashion.”  Eclectic Extremist.  Cool!
