It's got a 14 inch wingspan right now, but roboticists suggest it could get much smaller. The upside, as far as I can tell, is that they will be nearly undetectable, so the military/spy implications are interesting/ominous, depending on your perspective! The downside is that they would be completely subject to local weather conditions. For example, how would one of these flybots maneuver during a sandstorm in Iraq? What about heavy rains or snow? It'll be interesting to watch this develop.
